“Time into Form” centres on the idea of embodying time to wood.
The title carries layered resonances: time is preserved within wood, allowed to rest within form, and entrusted to wood as its vessel. At the same time, it hints at a more intimate relation, between self and wood, where the maker pours part of their being into the material.
Woodwork, then, is not only a craft of construction but also an act of preservation. Through joinery and assemblage, fragments of timber from different places, functions, and histories are reconfigured into new structures. Each piece bears its own past, and in meeting others, generates fresh connections.
Every decision—of material, structure, or detail—captures a moment of the maker’s life and judgment. The process is entirely manual: cutting, sanding, joining, oiling. Without automation, variations and tolerances remain visible, becoming tactile evidence of both time and touch.

Exhibition
Frustum Design Gallery is a creative space in London dedicated to exploring the fluid intersections of art, design, and everyday life. Creativity is not about collecting or categorizing—it is about observing, tracing, and allowing ideas to unfold. Just Documenting is not an act of possession but of presence, capturing the shifting relationships between aesthetics and utility, creators and audiences, concepts and tangible experiences.
Within this space, you will find boxes—each holding traces of creation, moments of thought, and the evolving contexts of two artists’ works. These boxes do not seek to contain conclusions; instead, they act as documents, preserving fragments of process, memory, and transformation. They invite you not just to observe but to navigate, interpret, and engage—where meaning is not fixed but continuously reassembled.
At FDG, we do not seek to collect everything, nor to define a singular truth—only to document what emerges, shifts, and resists conclusion.
